Almost 2 and more clingy
DS was pretty good at being independent. At least I thought he was. I work PT at home so I am with him a lot. DS1 has been in daycare since 3 months so was always good about separating. DS2 gets upset when I leave the room. The other day we were at a friends. DS1 and my friend's son were playing, but my almost 2 yr old kept crying when I would leave.
Even at home he wants me in the same room or gets in a "pick me up and hold me" mood. He used to just play so independently so well or with his brother. Now he's always looking for me. I want to start a separation class soon and see how he does. I tried last week and after snack he wasn't happy.

Almost 2 and more clingy
My DD will be two in a couple of weeks and is like this. She follows me room to room. I can't go to the bathroom, do a load of laundry, put clothes away...nothing without her literally at my heels. And lately she wants to be held a lot more than usual. She goes to daycare FT so it's not like she's used to having me around all the time. She won't even really play with her toys independently.

Re: Almost 2 and more clingy
DS is almost 20 months and he is the same way. I am just hoping this is a phase he will grow out of it sooner rather than later!
