Almost 12 month old who won't eat

Ds will be a 1 year on March 2nd. When we first started solids he loved to eat. He would eat everything. Lately he is eating less and less. I've tried everything. Yogurt, regular table food, baby food, etc. Nothing. He'll take a few bites and then start blowing raspberries, or spitting out the food or refusing to open his mouth. I don't know what to do. He's still on formula because I'm afraid if I start switching him to regular milk he'll be losing out on all the nutrients because he won't eat. Anyone have any advise or anyone been through this before. I need help!!

Are you letting him feed himself? I found that once I started letting DS feed himself that's all he wanted to do. He would not let me give him anything. Then when he started to get older and wanted larger chunks etc. he started to refuse food again unless it was given the way he wanted it. Good luck!

I've tried feeding him, and letting him feed himself. He'll feed himself puffs and cheerios and some food, but even when he feeds himself he doesn;t eat much

DD (almost 10 months) is very similar. She used to eat a lot more when we first started solids. Then around 8 months she barely ate at all. Now she's doing better but still not as much as she used to.

For lunch I try to give her a fruit and veggie pouch bc she will sometimes suck down the whole thing quickly. She likes to eat straight from the pouch - she would never take 4oz from a spoon. For dinner she does well if I mix veggies with pastina. I try to get a decent amount in her and then I give her things she can self feed bc she tends to take in so little that way.

For finger foods, she likes to bite into things like strips of waffle or crackers. She does ok with open face grilled cheese, toast, broccoli. I just keep trying different things but she has lots of meals where she barely eats anything. Her weight gain is fine though so I really don't worry too much.

My almost 9 month old DD is doing the exact same thing. She use to eat anything I gave her, now it is a struggle to get her to eat anything other than Cherios or Puffs.
She doesn't eat alot of these either.

I have taken to giving her one of these along with her meals just to get a few teaspoons into her.

I am at my witts end.

My DS wouldn't eat when we started table food but I refused to keep feeding baby food so I just let him eat the little he wa eating and making sure he had enough formula/milk. His weight stayed the same and the Ped said what I was doing was fine. Now he eats like a 300 lb man. I would just let it go. Keep giving food. They eat when they are hungry.

DD was doing this too and it would drive me crazy, but I never force it. At her 1 yr check up the ped said that some babies just prefer to drink their calories, so we dropped the amount of milk we were giving her and she eventually started eating more. She definitely prefers to feed herself, but she still doesn't eat as much as I feel she should be. But again, I know that if she is truly hungry she will eat whatever she can - she's not going to let herself starve. The ped said this is perfectly normal and not to stress over it or force her to eat.

Well I feel better now knowing he's not the only one. I tried about 4 different things this morning before he finally ate blueberries with me sitting on the floor with me and fed it to him. I'm just going to keep trying. We go for his 12 month doctors appointment in about 2 weeks so I'll see what happens then. Thanks!

Starting at about 12 months, DD started what I like to call "feast or famine" mode. Some days she will eat more than I do and then she will go a couple of days eating barely anything. When she is having a famine day, I will feed her 3-6 Ella's kitchen pouches throughout the day and increase her milk intake. She will always drink milk and eat Ella's, even when she won't do table food.
