Allergies/Horrible night Coughing?
Can you mix meds? IDK what to do.
Noah is coughing SO bad, he is not sick, he says it is dripping down his throat. When we are outside or he is laying down he coughs this phelgm...UGH it is awful. It has happened before and he coughs till he throws up.
We see the ped in 2 weeks for a well visit, and I plan to mention it then.
But what can I do to help him sleep? I'm afraid to go in there and do anything for fear of waking him. I am trying to get him to sleep laying slightly upright.
So I risk waking him to go put the humidifier in?
I gave him childrens mucinex, but now after googling it , it seems I should have tried benedryl to dry it up? I dont know if I should mix ?
Sorry so many ?'s.
Anyone have a child with allergies and a night cough and suggestions for fast relief?
THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Re: Allergies/Horrible night Coughing?
Benadryl works for Two reasons according to my ped. #1 it is an antihistamine and #2 because it makes them sleepy it relaxes the reflex/urge to cough.
