I used to teach there but it was nearly 10 years ago so I dont knwo much about it anymore!
However FM Christy, I think she was going to sign her DD up there a few months ago.

My daughter use to go there. I have nothing but good things to say about them....my daughter has Mosaic Down Syndrome and they were wonderful with her.

I'm pretty sure Christy has her daughter in classes there and she liked it a lot as far as I know.

Funny. I used to teach there too about 8-9 years ago! I used to love teaching kids how to swim 
I can't wait to teach my own DH how to swim!

Where is it? Do they have the option of the parent not going in? I want to go in the water with him on our fun days out but for lessons I am not sure if I want to go in every time.

I forget exactly but it was about $25 for a half hour private lesson....from what I remember there was much of a difference between private and semi-private (small group)

I dont think the parents go it with them. Obviously Ariel was older when she had lessons...but I did see younger kids..and they went in with their instructor and the parents stayed out of the pool.

Most of their lessons are one on one with the instructor! Although they do have a mommy & me option. (well at least they used to!)
ETA: Its in Smithtown on 347 just west of Lake avenue. Its in the same building as the super suppers type place I think its called Whats 4 Dinner.
PS they share a pool with the physical therapy place.

That is funny! I think all the teachers I worked with left within months of me!
Funny, I taught kids for over 6 years, loved it and all! But I find it very hard to teach my own!
When I worked there one of the instructors had a 1 year old and I used to give his son lessons because he said that when he was with his son he wanted to have fun, not be "working" and I kinda get it now! I plan on putting DS in lessons because I just cant seem to be his Swim Instructor as well as his mom!
