All inclusive Vacation

DH and I want to go on an all inclusive vacation for our 1 year anniversary.... any recommendations? We are up to going anywhere, as long as it is resonable!

Re: All inclusive Vacation

I've done All inclusive at Aruba (Holiday Inn) and St. Thomas (Wyndham Sugar Bay), and I loved both of them.

The Wyndham had a nicer arrangement and good restaurants, amazing pools and beach.

Holiday Inn Aruba was in an amazing spot on the beach and a wider choice of restaurants, and a casino. It's the hotel where that girl disappeared while on her school trip.

Re: All inclusive Vacation

I have been to RIU

Dreams

and the Valentin Imperial

the best food, value, service, everything was the Valentin Imperial in Rivera Maya (no reservations needed at restuarants- which is a big thing for me)

wow! I posted a review last week- check it out!

We went to Excellence Playa Murejes in Mexico for our HM. It was amazing! No reservations for restaurants, the food was good, service excellent, the grounds were beautiful and the rooms were amazing. We keep saying we are going to go back bc it was so great.

Re: All inclusive Vacation

I HIGHLY recommend the Excellence chain of resorts. We went to the Punta Cana location for our HM and just came back Friday from the Playa Mujeres location. The Punta Cana resort is a little older and has more of a caribbean resort vibe, whereas Playa Mujeres is only 2 years old and more modern. Great service, lots of restaurants, bars and pools to choose from. Spas are both great, but Playa Mujeres has a few extras that are nice, like the Marine Wellness Circuit. I also liked the Playa Mujeres room much better. The room itself is amazing, but then we had a rooftop terrace with 2 beds, chairs, private pool, and outdoor shower...and this trip was less expensive than the Punta Cana trip. They also have a nice anniversary/honeymoon package. We can't wait for the Oyster Bay, Jamaica location to open so we can check it out! There's also another location in Cancun, but in the hotel zone. Playa Mujeres is about 25 minutes outside of there, which we really liked.

Re: All inclusive Vacation

Ang, you need to go to this place:

El Dorado Royale - Riviera Maya

You MUST stay in a Casita Suite. This is where Jim and I went on our honeymoon and it was amazing. Nancy went in January and LOVED it!! I miss it so much... Chat Icon

Re: All inclusive Vacation

We are at the Valentin right now and it's wonderful. This place is expansive and very spread out. We are in a suite and it's beautiful Probably the nicest room we've ever stayed in. We go home tomorrow and I'm so depressed!

The food is really good and everyone falls all over you to make you happy. Our massages were great and we got a $150 spa credit.

We booked with Cheapcaribbean.com and if it rains any day we're here we get $100 back. We also got the hurricane guarantee.

This was a very reasonable vacation for what we got. We will definitely go back and I hope soon.

It's really hot here now and I'm crispy and that's with 45 and 55 spf.

We've been to Sandals many times along with other Mexican all inclusives and I'm throughly impressed. Sandals charges more than twice the price and isn't any better.

Beth recommended it and she gave me a coupon too. Thanks Beth!
