Alimentum
If your DC is on alimentum, do you pay out of pocket or does your insurance cover it?

with our son, insurance covered it. we had BC/BS and used Apria
this time around (changed insurance) we have to pay OOP. We have Cigna now.

I went through Apria as well. I had my ped give a script since DD had milk protein allergy.

Out of pocket. Tou need to call YOUR ins co because every employer has a different plan set up. DHs excudes any type of formula, etc., but others with the same ins co had it covered. Call the benefits line.

Also don't accept no for an answer right away. BCBS wouldn't cover our Elecare and the rep and the gastro dr's office had a form to fill out that said this is MEDICAL food not formula. We had to file for a review and then they approved it for one year and reimbursed us for what we had already spent.

not covered through our insurance, covered 50% through our RX plan (DH's union). So it ends up costing me the same as regular formula.
