AJ's Halloween pumpkins
She wanted Cinderella so I made one but the crown flew off so I gave it another
Hers.. she took my scraps from the sticker foam pieces after she painted.. we both said "LOOK its the Kool-Aid guy!!" We had to show her who that was and she said "oh yeah" which made us both laugh harder. All the parts were left over scrap pieces she applied.
Lastly
her school has a yearly display in the library. You decorate a pumpkin (real or fake - no carving) into anything you've read. So for my little princess? Why TMNT of course!
Still have two large pumpkins to paint.. not sure what I'm going to do.. usually one is all mine to do with what I want. Jester this year? hrmmmm
Her turtle.. she picked the paint specifically. LOL and had a good time getting the coats on. taping up the 'chucks' too (yeah.. i know I got the colors wrong - she reminds me every chance she gets) out of inner of toilet papers rolls. She colored in the name (i had to spell check that), she also helped choose the eyes I cut out and the mouth as well as at least went through 3 masks before she was happy! She demanded the pizza, but I was too tired to let her color one so I quickly put it on the white sticker foam I still had left over. The plate was from Michaels so I figured meh.. let her stick stuff on it. Only thing NOT stuck to it is the pumpkin itself.

That's what DS is being this year!! He specifically wanted "the orange one" because of the "Nin-Chucks"
AJ is too cute!! I can't believe how grown up our little babies are!!

AJ's Halloween pumpkins
Seriously guys this was super easy.
Paint the pumpkin in green (acrylic dries quickly) and while its drying cut out the mask (not the bands - I did those last) hot glue the mask on (used white foam cut out into eye shapes for eyes) then cut and hot glue on the strips (they won't reach all the way around because of the curvature so they crisscross at the back) - I lined up the strip to the mask and cut the angle to match then kept it that width to the back, it will travel down slightly. Then repeat for the other side. Hot glue or stick on the mouth, add some freckles.. DONE. :) I added orange fabric to the back for the tie part. You could use more foam cut out. Doesn't matter.
nun chucks - cover the roll in black, cover it again in brown, draw some lines. Cut out circles for the top and bottoms and strips of black. Braid orange yarn. Hole punch then tape down the yarn to a circle. Tape a strip of black on top of that, tape the black strip to the interior so the taped side faces away from the outside. Same for the opposite side. I used a pencil to push the side I couldn't reach onto the sides. done.

AJ wants to play with the nun chucks.. they would NEVER survive actual play use. So I said she had to wait until the pumpkin is returned on the 28th
