Airplane travel bag for stroller... another travel question!

If you gate checked your stroller, did you use those special stroller bags? I've seen/heard people just using a trash bag to wrap it... to contain any parts that may break off from flight/handling.

I'll put my feelers out to see if anyone I know has one.

We've traveled a good amount by plane and we've never done that, and I think (IMO) that it would be a giant PITA to do this while boarding the plane...

I've traveled numerous times with my DS and I always use the "Gate Check" bags for both the stroller and carseat. I got them at BBB but I think BRU is also carrying them now.

We used one when we fly - I saw several of the strollers that were filthy b.c they weren't in bags.

We've never used a bag - just handed over the stroller. Never had a problem. We always had our kid in it while waiting to board, so I dont see how there would be time to stop at the entrance to the plane to put it in the bag - especially since families with kids usually get on first.

Now, if you had it ready to go when boarding started, thats another story.
