Ahhhh..... compromise
OK- I have the second trimester sniffles. I feel fine, but my nose is running and I'm sneezing like crazy. I guess last night I was snoring like a log cutter, so DH gets up and to move into the guest room to sleep.
It woke me up when he got up, so I asked, "where are you going?". OK- pregnancy hormones aside, I BURST into tears, mostly out of frustration because it's getting uncomfortable to sleep anyway without having to worry about him being annoyed at me. But for whatever reason, at 3 am my feelings were definitely hurt. It's not like he had to get up today anyway....
ALSO- back in November, he had sinus surgery that made it sound like an 18 wheeler was driving through the bedroom every night. For THREE weeks he had this awful, wet, gurgly, snore that shook the room. I never complained- in fact I would get up to get his pain meds, change the bandages, get him water, etc.....
I reminded him of that to which he promptly apologized and agreed to wear earplugs. I agreed to call the Dr. to find a decongestant that's safe in pg (any suggestions ladies?). So we were able to compromise.....

Re: Ahhhh..... compromise
Hm I have been like that lately too with the emotions....besides, men are the biggest babies IMO.
I was like this over Christmas and my OB told me I could take Benadryl, use a humidifier (helps immensely - I am still using it), drink lots of liquids. I also use Shower Soothers in a hot shower before I went to bed, which loosened me up quite a bit. I sprayed rosemary-scented alcohol on my pillow - helps with the stuffiness too - and got a nasal irrigation system or a neti pot. This gets a lot of the gunk out just by using saline solution, so there are no drugs involved.
Feel better, I know I was miserable for a few days.

Re: Ahhhh..... compromise
Are you living my marriage right now?? I COMPLETELY understand!!! Except I'm the one sleeping on the couch these days Granted, it is the ONLY place I am getting a full nights sleep and a mighty comfortable one at that, so I'm really not complaining... but yes, HE is now complaining about MY snoring!!! Now, I have dealt with HIS snoring our ENTIRE relationship!!! Why does he have a right to complain about mine when I've slept next to him for 3 years listening to him???
I think your DH and mine should get together and go bowling or something.

I understand!
I have been using Saline spray during the day. My Dr. Said I can use Afrin when it gets really bad, which for me is like every 3-4 days...and it helps a lot.
Im about to get a humidifier as well.
The shower soothers work well too.
