We are invited to one and my DS is 5. Too old IMO. 4 is on the borderline. Depends on the crowd also if your DS wants it then go for it.

DS IMO is very immature for his age especially compared to DD at that age For her I wouldn't think she wouldn't have enjoyed it has much he probably will. Honestly he would probably have no care or clue if I asked him where he would want his birthday party
Majority of the kids would be kids 4 and a good amount just turned 4.

Funny thing I googled to see if others had this question and I saw a video of a 6 year old party And a 10 year old. While I wouldn't do it that old if kibhave the right party host I can see it working. And on a moms geoup I am on a FB someone asked for suggestions for a 5 year old party and several people suggested my gym because that's where they had their kids birthday. Going to think about it longer but definitely not taking it off the table yet. Maybe I will go there and asked them what they will do to gear the party to the correct age level

We had DDs 3rd bday at Gold Medal Gymnastics Center. Kids ranged from a year to 8 y/o. Everyone had a blast. I don't think 4 is too old at all.

ETA: Ive never been to My Gym but GMGC would be great for 4 y/os
