After a few hiccups in this process
we are actually going for blood tomorrow at 4... the girl in Dr Bs office obviously did not understand me when she scheduled Shaun and I for blood when she should have had reproscource call me instead... so anywho, tomorrow it is... 26 vials for me and 8 for Shaun...
his SA will be done a different day... Reproscource couldnt get the kit out quick enough

i didnt have the best experience with reprosource either.
but good luck!!!!
eta the zillion vials isnt so bad- i brought a granola bar which i ate right after and drank water throughout the draw and i was fine.

it was the receptionist at Dr Bs office that messed up not reprosource...
Dr B asked me if i have any issues with blood i said as long as im laying down im ok...

I don't recall giving that many vials to Reprosource, even the first time. Maybe things have changed? But, Can you split it up? I have issues with giving that much. I passed out at Enzo lab, 2x and the phlebotomist said that I could have them split into two sessions.

i didnt ask if i could split them i didnt think i could... honestly, i just want to get it over with.

Glad to see things are moving along. I was wondering when you were oging to go for testing.
I brought some OJ and a cereal bar, and ate that right after my inicial bloodwork, and that's that only took 14 vials. Good luck Ang, I hope you get some answers and move foward.

26 is alot! i had about 10-12 vials taken on saturday and it wasnt bad at all.

I had about 30 I think taken...I had it done at quest..it was not bad...the only part that hurts for me is when they take the vile out after it is filled to put the new one in bc it keeps moving the needle..after like 20 I asked if we could switch arms and we did...and the next day I looked like a drug addict cause my arms were purple!!

why do you have to deal with reprosource directly?? everytime i did the immune panel dr. Bs already had the kit and they just drew the blood. i only had to talk to reprosource in regards to payment.

I had my first appointment with dr b on 8/25, he said call the office tomorrow and get an appointment for blood on any tues or thurs... so i called Dr Bs office on Friday the 26th... the girl i spoke to seemed like she didnt understand what i was saying... i said Dr b told me to call and make an appointment for blood work for immune/thrombo etc and a semen analysis... can i make an appointment for tuesday of next week... she made an appointment...
Dr bs office calls me on tuesday to confirm an appointment on wed for their LI office... thats how we figured out that there was something wrong...
the woman i spoke to said she would have a nurse call me back... after two days i emailed Dr b because no one called me back... and a few hours later Linda emailed me...
she ended up sending a requisition to reprosource and then Reprosource called me to set up the appointement and let me know how much it all costs and stuff like that...

Be careful with Reposource, I told one million people I had Empire BCBS Direct HMO and Dr. B himself told me max $800. Well Reposoource tried to say it was 17k but they'd give me a deal of 5k. I almost passed out.
Anyway Dr. B called personally bc it was kind of his fault and we worked out a deal and I had to pay 2k, which is still insane and I try not to think about it because I am happy I had the test because they found a few important minor things.
Anyway sometimes after getting blood taken I get a headache, with the 20-30 vials (I didn't look) I didn't even have a headache at night. It went by really quickly and didn't hurt anymore than normal blood work. As long as you don't look you'll be fine!

they already told me it would be about $800... the total was 19k
