I think each doctor's office is different. I get one more at 36 weeks.

every doc is different. i wasn't sure if i did, since i switched doc's this pregnancy, so i called the office and they told me they do a growth sono at 32 weeks :)

I had gotten one at 30 weeks and that was supposed to be my last one, but I'm having another next week and I'll be about 37 weeks.

I had a growth at 30 weeks, but since my fluids have been low i've had a sono every week from week 30 on!

Definitely depends on the doctor AND on your own personal medical history.
At 21 weeks, I've had 7 sonograms. I will be getting them a minimum of at least 1x every 4 wks from now until the end, and that might even shorten.

I was told at my practice that there are 2 more after the 20 week. They feel that it's the best non-invasive way to see what's going on with the baby.
ETA: With my first DD my last sono was 20 weeks, but I was with a diff't practice.

not for me. I barely got ANY sonos. My dr said that it's not good to have too many, so I only got one at 8wks and another at 20. (although, personally, I had an extra done at 17 wks because I was worried about pressure which ended up being nothing). She told me that I won't have anymore unless there was a problem. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed. If I had it my way I'd see this baby at every freakin appointment. lol.

At my office, you get one at 32 weeks (growth sono) and one at 36 weeks (NST). With DS, I was two weeks late and had an abnormal NST result, so I ended up having one every other time I went from week 36 onwards, so I had so many of them at the end. That isn't normal.
