Affordable Photog for 1st Birthday Party?

Has anyone had someone come to the party and take pics? Was it crazy $$$$?

i LOOOOOVED the photographer we used for DDs first birthday party. the price was comparable to what you would pay for a newborn shoot. she was there for 4 hours and i expect to get the DVD with pics today or tomorrow (party was may 20th). she put up many teasers here: http://www.catherinedunbarblog.com/2/archives/05-2012/1.html

We really loved Cat and I would def recommend her and use her again. her price was extremely reasonable compared to other quotes that i got, and i feel like she does really gorgeous high quality editing, better than most of the other photographers that were in her price range.
