Re: AF while pregnant?

I'm not actually preggo yet. I think I had my period a couple days ago, but it was differant. I took a preggo test and it said - ......I was just wondering if anyone had experienced some kind of bleeding during the beginning of their pregnancy....because my sister said she thinks our mother had hers during all of her pregnancies. TIA

red bleeding is never a good sign... I had it for one morning (much lighter than a period) and thankfully everything was ok Chat Icon
miscarriage bleeding is usually more painful and intense than a period.

I've heard reports on tv of women having their period during pregnancy but that must be rather rare.... I presume you would run the risk of flushing the baby out during the first trimester....

Re: AF while pregnant?

it's not possible to have AF while pregnant, therefore the bleeding must be something else. your uterus cannot shed itself monthly if you're pregnant- you wouldn't be able to sustain the pregnancy. am i wrong?

Re: AF while pregnant?

There are very rare cases of people who have period like bleeding throughout a pregnancy but it is definitely a danger of losing the baby. I would call the Dr and make an appointment. Some women bleed early on and have a perfectly healthy pregnancy.Chat Icon
