AF and Provera
Hi all,
My problem so far is that I have an elevated prolactin level due to a tiny tumor in my pituitary. I have been taking bromocriptine for 2 1/2 months to lower the level. As of Thursday, my levels were normal for the first time. Two weeks prior Dr. Brenner thought by my next blood test I could take provera. Although my prolactin was normal, my estrogen was still low, so he said that I probably wouldn't respond to the medication. I asked if I should expect a period any time soon and he said probably not for another 5 weeks at least. I have never wanted AF so bad before! My question is there a way to raise my estrogen? What if it never goes up and I don't get AF? Then what? Also, is there anything else I could do to help AF on her merrry way???
TIA - I am new to all this hormone stuff!

Re: AF and Provera
I think the only way to raise your estrogen is to use the patches or something like that prescribed by your doctor. Maybe he feels it's unnecessary otherwise he would have given it to you? Maybe you should call and ask him...
