Advice wanted (sleeping with a pillow)

DS is 18 months old. He never sleeps with a pillow. He moves alot while he sleeps so it has always made me nervous. He loves to lay in his boppy, he uses it like a pillow when he drinks a bottle. I had it in his crib tonight because he has a cold and was having trouble breathing due to the congestion. He is sleeping now and I want to keep the boppy in all night, but I'm nervous because he has never had a pillow all night. Not sure if I'm being silly. I'm just a nervous nelly WWYD?

I would leave it. At 18 months he should definitely be fine with it. My DD is 12 weeks old and sleeps with a pillow. I know- shame on me- but she's used it since the beginning and has proven she is fine with it.

I'm sure it is fine, DS had a pillow at about that age

At 18 months he is definately fine. I'm guessing that he can stand up by now and therefore could probably even throw it out if he doesn't want it. I offered my 18 month old a pillow and that's what he did - threw it back at me.
