Advice please

So my grandma watches Cadi a lot. I am in rehearsals now for an opera and she has been watching her. But she does not keep up with Cadi's nap schedule. I feel bad because she is doing us A BIG favor by watching her for free. But by the time she is picked up at night she is sooo nasty. i dont know what to do. i tell her to just put her down for a nap and my grandma says but she is crying in the room by herself. I dont know what to do!!!!

I think that you should stay with your grandma one day so that she can see how you do nap time. She may not be comfortable with the crying, but if she sees that Cadi does fall asleep and wake up happier maybe she'll be convinced...

My dd won't sleep when she is at our babysitters either. It's not our babysitters fault. I know how dd can be and she won't nap in the pack and play. Can your grandmother take her for a walk and maybe she'll sleep in the stroller?

Does your grandma try rocking your dc to sleep first and letting the child fall asleep in her arms before putting in crib? Maybe suggesting that if she doesnt then she wont feel guilty putting her down b/c she wont be crying.

Explain that even if she crys, Cadi will eventually fall asleep. This is what i do when my family watches DS. I tell them let him cry and watch within 10 minutes he will pass out.
