Advice on next step???
Ok so I started on 50 mg of clomid last cycle and I believe that I ovulated, basked on opk's, but no BFP...this cycle I again took 50 mg since my doc said that if I ovulated that was the correct dose...I am mid cycle and no O so I called my doc and he said that it could happen as late as CD21 so I still may have a chance...here comes my question...how aggressive should I be??? If I dont O this cycle he would up my dosage but I also could could try a non-medicated IUI or one more round of timed intercourse with clomid...hubby thinks that its too soon to go to IUI since we just started last month trying but he doesnt understand that this really is mentally draining and I am borderline obsessing over it.
What would you do? I am torn...

Re: Advice on next step???
are you seeing an RE? if you are on clomid your dr should be monitoring you so that you know if you are making follies or not. you should not just be trusting the opk!!
as far as TI or IUI thats a personal decision. i never did an IUI. we did tons of medicated cycles and did get pregnant twice but both ended in chemicals. we didnt get our sticky BFP until IVF. IUI increases your chances about 7% which to DH and I was not enough to take the fun out of trying the old fashioned way. but many people do. dont feel forced into an IUI if its not what you want, but if you are obsessing over it you may want to at least give yourself the higher % chance.

Re: Advice on next step???
I just made the call to my gyn to get a referral to a RE...I hope the RE doesnt think its too soon to be there since we only have been technically "trying" for 2 months but with my history of PCOS I would think thats the next step.

I have PCOS and was only off the pill for 2 months by the time I saw an RE. He said it was good I came when I did, rather than waste time.

Re: Advice on next step???
I never tried ttc onmy own, I went directly to the re. I have pcos and don't ovulate regularly so the re was the best place for me. The re will monitor you, almost def. Increase the amount of clomid you are on, test dh as well.

Re: Advice on next step???
i went straight to a RE. If you're not ovulating on your own, its not too early. There's no point in waiting to see if you're going to O if you know you wont. The RE will monitor you closely to make sure you're making the right size follies and when you O.

Re: Advice on next step???
If u are on clomid etc there should be no guesswork. U should be monitered priperly and u aren't now. I would see an re right away and not take meds without the proper care xo
