Advice needed
DD is 2 years old and had a cold for a few days. Now it turned into a cough but never with a fever. Tonight, she woke up with vomit on the bed. It looks like it was only once, maybe twice. She was acting normal after that and went back to sleep. Is it a stomach virus even though it only happened once or twice or just from the cold? Such bad timing w the holidays and I don't know what I should do.

It's hard to say for sure but if it doesn't happen again, I doubt it's a stomach virus. When I had it last month, I was sick several times an hour over the course of a day and 1/2. Is possible she threw up from coughing too much? Either way, I hope she feels better soon!

It could have been from the coughing. They can cough so hard they hrow up.
My dd had nasal congestion last week that was going away and then 2 days ago developed a cough. Peds put her on itc cough meds but yesterday cough didnt go away and she was wheezing so i brought her in. Had to put on antibiotics and steroids to break up cough. She may have rsv but wont know for 2-3 days. Our xmas is ruined because we were told shes contagious so now we cant take her around either of our familes cause theres a bunch of kids.

Re: Advice needed
I can usually tell from the "kind" of vomit. When its the stomach bug my kids don't digest food well so even if its been hours since eating, theres "food" in it. But if its just from their cold, it is usually clear/watery.
ETA: Had this exact issue the other night with DD and shes fine. No stomach bug.

Re: Advice needed
It's prob from post nasal drip. If it was a stomach bug, you'd KNOW.
