adding spices to baby food.

Homemade food. Do you do it, or not?

I added cinnamon to the apples and yams from the get go. No side effects. Liam is 5 months. I am nervous to add any more spices.. like maybe basil to his carrots. The doctor didn't mention anything about spices.. however, she thought I was bonkers when I told her I was making my own food and breastfeeding.. Chat Icon Whatever.

I found some confliciting info online. Most stuff said not until 8 months.. but, then some stuff said that in other countries they introduce spices from the very start.

I am just curious as to what everyone thinks about this.

I would, but I am pretty liberal with such things.

I always gave her spices from day one on. Most babies take to food with spices more than bland foods.

OKay.. good. I added some basil to his carrots. Let's see if he likes them.

I did add cinnamon to his yams after he was eating them for a few day.. He was eating them.. but, not loving them. The cinnamon seemed to do the trick.

awesome!

DS gets all the foods we eat, and has since he was on table foods (around months). the only thing i wouldn't give him is anything made with/from nuts.
