Adding Flax Seed to Yogurt
DS always has hard poops. I've read on here that some of you Mom's add Flax Seed to certain foods. DS has a YoBaby Yogurt every morning for breakfast. How much flax seed do I add?

I'm not sure how much but I just wanted to add that I think you might have to grind the flax seed up in order for it to be helpful? Not sure  maybe someone else knows?

I would only add a dash or so... too much the stool will be too soft.
I know for many of my recipes I add a teaspoon or tablespoon, when I make bread or muffins so you don't need a dash for a baby's serving.

becareful with flax seed. TOo much is NOT good, esp in a baby. I'd ask the ped or a nutritionist.

WholesomeBabyFood says no more than 1 Tablespoon for 8-10 mos old. My DS is 18 mos old. I was going to start w/ 1/2 a teaspoon. Is that too much?

I kinda just sprinkle it on. Its not much at all , maybe 1/4 a tsp.
