Has anyone had success with this? My sciatica is raging and stretches that usually help are not

Re: Acupuncture for sciatica?
Funny you ask this... I see a chiro and go for PT and my Physical Therapist recommended I go for acupuncture being no matter what we do my left side won't "relax" unless I'm on muscle relaxers.

Ugh, my left is also my big problem. It was so bad yesterday I was literally stuck standing up, like couldn't take a step forward! Guess it's worth a try!

Re: Acupuncture for sciatica?
Every now and again my sciatic nerve acts up and I go get a medical massage at a physical therapists office. It's absolutely AMAZING and instantly relieves any discomfort. I see April at Premiere Physical Therapy in Ronkonkoma.
ETA - It affects my left side as well.

Massage sounds like a great idea. Will look into it close to me. Thanks!

Re: Acupuncture for sciatica?
Yes - I did acupuncture for sciatica. It definitely helped and gave me some relief. As soon as they put the needles in, the pain was gone. Within a couple of days it would come back and I would need another treatment. This lasted for about a month until the swelling that was pressing on the nerve subsided.
My insurance covered it because I went to an MD that does it.

Hope you feel better! Definitely find a "medical massage", it's different from an ordinary massage, so much more intense
I'm headed to a massage myself today.
