acupuncture & IVF- when to go?
When's the best time to start acupuncture during an IVF cycle? How often do you go?

Start ASAP! It has a cumulative effect. I went twice a week during my IVF cycles.

This!! I started on and off a few months ago, Then I started weekly at the begining of my IVF cycle. Going twice the week stims, retrival and transfer.
the accupuncturist can give you a good idea of when to go as well,

Some ladies go for specific reasons during their cycle, others may just go before and after transfer.
For me, I was going 2x a week for over a year. Acu was very beneficial for the side effects I experienced from the meds. It was great for relaxation purposes too! I'd seriously fall asleep drooling on the paper towel pillow! I also went for my lining, although really no evidence that it helped.

Supposidly its good for implantation. So if you only went for some apts then would be the time. I was planning to go once a week but at $70 per session and having to rush to get there, it wasnt worth the stress to me.

I would reccomend Roberta of South Shore Acupunture...
She is truly amazing....and her session costs are moderate.

Andy Kaplan is awesome- you will love him. I had a very good response to stims and a great lining. He takes insurance if you have coverage.

I see Dr. Li by the Walt Whitman mall, he is a medical doctor in China and I liked him a lot because he uses herbs to assist. He also checks my finger, toenails and tongue and asks tons of questions. He also requested copies of my full medical history too.
