Activity Mat, Bouncer, Jumperaoo?

We started noticing that DD (4.5 months) gets bored easy and is only calm when we “stand” her, obviously while holding her. We have crib mobile that converts into a floor toy, so we are using that, but she seems bored. DD Has great head control and is already sitting up, with some assistance. What do we get next, or what has worked for you?

Activity mat, jumperaoo or Bouncer seat?

I saw this and thought it would be a good idea too. I love that she will be able to sue once she is standing on her own. Thanks

Ds starting using his activity mat at 2 week and still loves it. the last week or so now he likes to sit up and play with the things hanging from it. He prefers sitting up now when he plays vs laying.

He loves his exersaucer. I was against getting both the exersaucer and jumperoo, but now considering getting a jumperoo from once upon a chile.

We just got an activity table, I support him and he stands and plays with that now too.

We used the mat and the bouncy seat as soon as they were born

If she has good head control I would def try the exasaucer. We started that at 5 months and re jumper soon after

We probably took apart our activity mat by the time DD was about 6 months old (we used it every day when she was like 2-3 months old), so I wouldn't advise in investing in one of those at this point. Ditto for the bouncy seat. She hated leaning back once she could sit up more. We got her something that's similar to the bumbo seat at taht age but has toys around it. She is ok with it - never really loved it.

The exersaucer is good because it contains dd while I'm doing chores, and it has definitely helped strengthen her legs.

We have one of those fisher price activity tables, and I put the legs on, and I sit on the floor while dd either stands with my support or sits on my legs and plays. It is a nice break for my back because I don't have to lean over!

Thanks ladies for the input. I think we are going to try the Excersaucer. She is into smacking things, so this might work. Lol!

i would go with exersaucer or jumperoo
DD stopped liking the bouncer seat around 4.5 months and the activity mat she barely uses since she is sitting up now...i can just play with her on the floor with toys without a mat
the exersaucer and jumperoo will last you a few more months

I would try the exersaucer. If she's a little too small you can always put blankets around here. DS had fun in that. The jumparoo is great, but I think its better for when she is a little older.

we love them all. DD is 5 months and loves the jumperoo a little more than the exersaucer but both occupy her for a long time. She started in them around 4 months.

DS is 3 1/2 mo and we have the fisher price jumperoo. He doesn't reach the floor yet, so we put a pillow under his legs, and he loves it. He has pretty good head control.

We also have an exersaucer at my IL's house that he goes in. He's a little small for that one, so we just put blankets around him and he hangs out in there.

They both keep him busy for about 15 minutes at a time - sometimes longer.
