acrylic nails
I always had silk wraps. I took them off and started at a new place getting manicures. When I started biting my nails, had to put something on again. I had to change salons from the one I was going to for years. The new place put on acrylics and I hate them. I have a light pink on my nails and they have a yellow look to them after a week. Is this normally what they look like? Is there a way of putting the wraps on the acryllic when I go for fill in or I have to remove them?

Re: acrylic nails
Are you a smoker? That's the only time I ever noticed my acrylics yellowing.
ETA: You'll have to remove the acrylics to go back to the silk wraps.

That happens when the salon uses the cheap and illegal stuff.

I didn't know they still did acrylic. Do the gel instead.

Oh boy...just started at this place. I am not loving this acrylic. Maybe I will take them off when I go back.

Re: acrylic nails
I had acrylics yellow once. I was spending a lot of time on the beach but that had never happened before and did not happen again. It was so weird.
I seem to get different answers as to whether you can get a new type of wrap without taking off the old. I know I have had silk wraps and gone with acrylic to fill in and then let the silk grow out. Some places will say it's not good but I know I've done it with no problems.
I'm back to wearing silks again just since the beginning of the summer. Now it is easier to find places to get them done but I am still figuring out who does the best job.

I've tried gel in the past, all different kinds, and it never lasts for me. Usually cracks or chips within a week. I am very rough on my hands though.

You have to ask them to use non yellowing acrylic. Sun or tanning beds can cause the yellowing
