Acid reflux and congestion/ear infections
DD has acid reflux. She's been on Zantac since around 2 months. She is 9 months now. We tried weening her off a little over a month ago. My sister and mom actually posed the question to me and I'm now wondering if there's a link. She's been congested pretty much since the end of November. She had a double ear infection on Christmas Eve and was put on amoxicillin. Went back today and one ear is still a little infected and she is still very congested. They put her on augmentin.
Do you think there's a link here since I took her off the Zantac???? It's just so odd that she's had this cold for so long. Hasn't had issues before that.

Yes there could be. My ds had reflux and chronic congestion and ear infections. The ent told me it was all reflux related. My ds wound up getting tubes in his ears and takes Zyrtec.

Thanks for responding. I'm going to give her a week and see how it goes. Then maybe I'll put her back on the Zantac.
