Accidentally used Tilex instead of Windex on mirrors -- how to fix?
Brain-freeze this week. I was wiping down the bathroom sink with Tilex and then I used the Tilex on the mirror instead of the Windex. Created a foggy appearance even after I sprayed Windex again and wiped it down. Gets worse after someone showers and the condensation occurs. Any suggestions?

I would try either vinegar or ammonia with hot water a few times, drying in between. Also clean with newspaper not paper towels (sounds strange but I had a dull mirror that had build up on it, and after a few times it worked)

Is there an 800# on the bottle? I'd call the makers of Tilex and ask them for suggestions. I'd guess you're not the first one and they may have answers.

Doesn't Tilex have bleach in it? If so, don't do this. It will cause a chemical reaction with either vinegar or ammonia.
Try rinsing with a lot of water.

Some do, the regular bathroom cleaner doesn't. so depending on which type she used, there might be.
Maybe just super hot water a bunch of times to get the majority of it off. Then there wouldn't be as much of a reaction.

I know!! Problem is he looks at the mirrors and thinks they're clean. so I'm on my own to experiment. I ended up letting the film dry and wiped it off with clean rags, Karate Kid style (wax on, wax off).I'll see how they look tomorrow after showers.
