So if the middle of the seat is safest for the carseat then how safe is a minivan being that there are two bucket seats?

I believe they're considered safe because most of them come with or an option with side curtain airbags. I could be wrong though?

Safe-"est". It's a relative term. Most cars a pretty safe, and anyone with more than one DC has to have at least one seat at the window. We had our DS in the center for 3 years, now he has a window seat, and DD has a window seat. I wouldn't stress about not having a center seat.

We have a Toyota Sienna that I really like alot. We have the 8 passenger model so there is a middle seat in the 2nd row. Alot of the minivans offer 7 or 8 passenger models.
