???? about HSG
After having recurring m/c my Dr. wants me to go for a HSG.. I finally got AF today, so I know I need to call an schedule an appointment for 7-10 days in my cycle thats about 3 days before I O would I still be able to try 2-4 days after... ?????

im pretty sure the want you to abstain from sex b/c of the dye and my doc put me on doxycycline during it, so i know thats a big no no to conceive while taking. just double check. Good Luck

Yes! definitely. I asked the same question. One word of advice, if you have painkillers take them! advil did nothing for me. The odd thing is I had an hsg in January and my tubes were totally clear and then had an ectopic in May/June

I just made the appt. I got AF this morning, So my HSG is scheduled for a week today on Aug 16. I can start trying two days later????r u sure.. The dye is going to do any harm... After the test how am I going to feel?? How long do you bleed for??

the dye is harmless. my dr said i could TTC the same day as my HSG. ask your dr in case there is somehtign unique about your situation.

I have been beating myself up that I did not get my HSG sooner since I had an ectopic in March.
I guess some of these things are just really unexplained.

Actually, the HSG improves your chances of conceiving. The dye makes the tubes "slippery" so it's easier for the sperm to get to the egg and the egg to get to the uterus.
If you do a search, you will see quite a few people have gotten PG right after an HSG.

Well for me I bled for a few days after. They never said not to BD, however I didn't want to because of it. Luckily I O on the later side so it didn't mess me up at all.
