Abnormal Sperm?
Has anyone DH have this and how successful is it that you will get pregnant. Makes me concern that this is also a Problem along with my blocked tube that can not be fixed. The RE told me it doesn't mean at all we can;t get pregnant.
Looking for some advice before I make myself crazy on googe. I'll be going gaga over google!!

exactly what do you mean by abnormal?
you only need 1 sperm to get preg
There is also a Biopsy test that he can go thru and they can remove his Sperm directly before its flows thru the body so to speak-
My Husband has issues - i am just not sure what you mean

Abnormal sperm can mean many different things? Was it shape, #, quality, etc.?

That's morphology. I've found from researching that IUIs have worked for some people. For us, like many others, we did 3 IUIs without success and moved onto IVF. I think IUIs are absolutely worth trying but obviously IVF is more successful especially with male factor.

My husband also had a problem with morphology. He had only 11% normal. His total count however was higher than normal so when they did the math his "Total normal was ok. We were told that we would still be able to get pregnant and that he should make lifestlye changes such as switching to boxer shorts, decreasing caffeine and limiting hot tubs or hot baths. All that being said i am still not pregnant after two iui and un-explained IF for me. Starting my third iui (with injectibles this time) today. So i may not be the best person to give advice. Actually i saw Dr. Stelling today as well.

In my experience, each SA came back with different #'s for all morphology, motility and count...depending on the month, how many times he "reproduces" sperm, how long it was in there before expelled, what he was taking (vitamins/suppliments, etc). every number came back different (some were drastic differences)
Good Morphology is necessary in order for it to penetrate the egg. But like the AP said, you only need ONE...and 1% of MILLIONS is quite a few "normal" sperm. I would speak to your RE and his Urologist and see if perhaps they can retest him in a month or so and if there is a diet/vitamin regimine he can go on
"Conception" is the vitamin my hubby took...

Dh's morphology was a bit off as well, i don't remember the #'s now. There was a previous poster who had talked about a whole regimine of vitamins that she put her DH on that could potentially help increase the sperm count/sperm in general and just make healthier sperm. I did a bunch of research (i also have PCOS, so DH wasn't really the problem, but at that point i was willing to try anything) and put DH on a whole slew of vitamins. at his next SA, his numbers were through the roof, and we get pregnant with our next IUI cycle

Thank You everyone!!!!! I have read allot saying vitamins can help allot. Tomorrow is my next monitoring appt and DH is going to go. I believe I am seeing Dr. Stelling again tomorrow. DH would like to ask him a few questions. He would like to be there. Maybe after tomorrow he'll get the answers he is seeking!!

My DH had a slight morphology issue but my RE said that with his high counts that would negate any potential issues
