Abdominal Hernia?

Found out yesterday that I have this. Anyone else have? What did your dr say to do about it? Will you need surgery after the baby is born?

Abdominal Hernia?

My FIL had one his whole life and it wasn't repaired unti he was 50 and had surgery for diverticulitis. DD was born with one but it has gone away on its own now at 21 months. My understanding is that most need no treatment at all, but I'm no doctor. Ask yours? Hope all is well!

Re: Abdominal Hernia?

I have an abdominal hernia and I actually went to a general surgeon. He said that it wasn't an emergency to get it repaired. I would see a doctor and have him/her take a look at it...I think that some can be worst than others.

Abdominal Hernia?

A co worker had it and needed to have it repaired. She had it done about a year after birth

Re: Abdominal Hernia?

Thanks everyone. I guess it seems like it could go either way. I'll just have to wait and see. I really hope I can avoid a surgery.
