A while ago everyone on here wanted this dress...

Sigh. The gorgeous sequin dress.
And I remembered loving it so much I bookmarked it!
Did anyone else ever buy/use this dress? I'd love to see some pics. I'm trying to decide whether or not to go for it!!!

I bought that dress for a christmas party. I didn't know it was a coveted item on these boards!
I loved it, but had to return it. According to the measuring guide, i was an 8, so i bought an 8 and it fit my waist on down but it hung off my boobs and shoulders. I held it up in place and it looked so good, but I didn't have time to get it tailored.
It was on the expensive side, so I decided to return rather than risk having an ill fitting dress.
It's also heavy, so that may help you decide as well. Not a "comfy" dress.
I'm pretty sure edressme has free shipping & returns (though I bought a few dresses to try so I may have spent some $$ to get the free shipping) so you can still check it out.

I never did! The idea of ordering 3 of them (because I have no idea what size to get) made me panic. I'm too slow with mailing out returns.
God I still love that dress!

The sizes were definitely off. I'm usually a 4 and their sizing guide had me at an 8, which ended up fitting some parts and not others.
I still love it too.
Get these thoughts out of my head!

I was afraid of it being a heavy dress and hanging on top -- now that I'm looking at the size chart again, I see that I'd need to try 2, not 3 sizes...hmmmmm....
eta- Dollface, do you think the 6 would have fit you better?

Yes, definitely. The top was so loose. It's also heavy so it needs to fit perfectly-- I think that's why the top was falling off--bc of the weight. It was so gorgeous on and pinned back mannequin style.  I just needed a dress quickly and thought bc of the heaviness and sequins that it couldn't be altered well by a local dry cleaner.
After having this conversation I feel like buying the dress in a 4 and a 6 since I've lost weight since I initially tried it on.
I'm telling you, if it fits, it's worth every damn cent!!

I tried it in the silver and it was actually jaw droppingly nice. I was so disappointed when it didn't fit right.
The black is equally jaw droppingly nice. i don't think I even saw that color during my initial purchase.
I say go for it, BonBon. I just checked edressme and they have free returns. I'll check about shipping now.
More info about the dress: it's only available in platinum sizes 2, 4 and 12 on edressme. It's also costs 20 bucks more than the shop link on the top of this page. It's available in gold and platinum in all sizes on the linked site.
Of course, since it's running out of stock on edressme, I want it even more. And I don't even have anywhere to wear it to !
