A question about retroactive pay
I am supposed to be getting a raise.
They told me the raise would kick in in January. Its January, no raise.
I was then told there was a hold up due to some things going on, but once it kicks in officially, I will ge retroactive pay.
Lets say I leave this job. Do I still get paid retroactively for the work I have done so far that was supposed to be paid for at the higher rate?

Legally, yes- but I would make sure you have something about the start date of the raise in writing.

yes absolutely---you should receive the difference between what you were earning and the raise amount in a retroactive check.
make sure you have the raise information in writing.
