A little nervous
We have our first RE appointment today. I am excited that we are moving foward but nervous at the same time. The problem is that DH has no medical insurance. He is working for a private company that currently does not offer benefits. I am wondering if it might be a waste of time going today, because if he needs panels or further test not really sure how we are going to pay for it. Any advise would be great.

Re: A little nervous
I do. I tried adding him to my plan, but because the company does not cover spousal insurance it would have been like $800/month just for him, then the $250 for my portion. The insurance is great, but super expensive.

Re: A little nervous
I'm pretty sure that when you see the RE most of the tests, including SAs, are covered under your insurance.
Good luck!

Re: A little nervous
I am not really familiar with how the billing works but I know at my RE, i am pretty much the patient and everything has gone through my insurance under me. You can ask the RE's billing department about your DH. The only things you might have to pay out of pocket for are blood work and SA for him. You can find out approximately how much that would run you.
Do you have good infertility coverage for you?
