a dumb pregnancy question. really dumb.
if i am 18 weeks and 3 days, how is that calculated as only 4 months?
wouldn't I be 4 months and 2 weeks??
this always confuses me.
do they count the 2 weeks before you get pregnant or not? i can never remember this stuff.

no - most months are calculated at 4 1/2 weeks so i would say you are 4 months 3 days

omg it IS confusing, huh? I remember when I reached 13 weeks I was so excited to be in my 2nd trimester... but then I found out that I'm not "really" in my 2nd trimester until 14 weeks. What the heck?!
I'm right now 23 weeks along and according to "What to Expect..." my 6th Month goes from week 23-27. Ok, I guess. I just assumd that if November 1st started my 6th month wouldn't December 1st logically start my 7th? But no, technically my 7th month won't start till Dec 6 (which isn't much later, but still random. lol).
So I get what you're saying. It's confusing. That's why I just follow the "What to Expect..." chart and not think about it too much further. haha
