a bit bummed - DH's friend can't come down next week

His friend and the very young girlfriend came to the funeral last week. I emailed him last night how is was great to see him just sad under the circumstances. And then continued with is their anything he wants me to get and I'll be picking them at the airport.

Well I got an email today that says "we have to cancel our trip, the girlfriend just found out today that she has to take a course for college and it starts on Aug 1"

The pesamist inside of me who can't find anything good thinks that is a crock. She finds out that she has a course she has to take one week prior. And a college course that starts Aug 1. I dont remember ever having a college course start Aug 1. I think she just doesnt want to come anymore and is using school as a cop out. Again thats the upset pesamist in me.

I am really bummed. DH is like whatever now we dont have to take PTO and you can relax this weekend. I am upset because I scheduled days off, redid my schedule and to tell me a week before your arrival you're not coming, W T F??
