I can't remember when I let DD. DS rolls & moves well is it safe?

9 month old sleeping with a blanket??
My son is 18 months and still using the Large sleep sack. His pediatrician still says no pillows or blankets. Sleep sacks are so easy, its not worth worrying whether they will be ok or not.

My DS has had a blanket since about 10 months....Propbably could have had it sooner.

I think that you're going to hear a lot of both yes & no answers. I personally know some people that did introduce it that early & their kiddos are fine. My ped recommends against it and I personally worry that even though my ds (also 9m) rolls around a lot that he'll get wrapped up & stuck so I won't do it. The chances of that happening might be very small, but I'm a worrier when it comes to this sort of thing so I'm sticking with sleep sacks until he outgrows the XL ones that I have from my first ds.

My thought is that since they roll so much anyway, what good is a blanket? Sleepsacks are just better - safety aside, they are kept so nice and toasty

Mine had a pillow and a blanket at that age. He was so big at that point and uncomfortable sleeping on flat surface. It was also getting warm so he slept under a light blanket.
