Spinoff: If you had to

Based on the other poll, it looks like Sanders is in the lead for the Dems on this site, but there are still a good amount of Hillary supporters.

If it comes down to Trump (in the Rep lead on this site based on the poll) & Sanders, who are you voting for?

I am not concerned with people who will not vote because of the candidates, I am just interested to know, if you are voting, who it would be for.

Scary prospect. I honestly do not know. I am a democrat but Sanders isn't capable IMO and god knows Trump isn't!

You know, I don't think Trump would be a total idiot in office. He would have a team of advisors. He would have to work with congress heads. I mean, it's not like we are all going to be under his regime, you know? I think some things would improve under him.

I think a lot of the shit he spews is to attract people who have been so Unsatisfied. I don't think it's all true or what he really would do, you know? I think he's trying to get people to appeal to his ideaology, but not all of it would occur.

all that aside, I would vote for Sanders.

Their government is a mess there, too! They just had their own George W. Bush / Trump there (Tony Abbott). The party over there voted him out and they have someone else in the party as Prime Minister, but he's not any better!

Re: Spinoff: If you had to

This is one of my favorite political quotes, by Bertolt Brecht.

“The worst illiterate is the political illiterate, he doesn’t hear, doesn’t speak, nor participates in the political events. He doesn’t know the cost of life, the price of the bean, of the fish, of the flour, of the rent, of the shoes and of the medicine, all depends on political decisions. The political illiterate is so stupid that he is proud and swells his chest saying that he hates politics. The imbecile doesn’t know that, from his political ignorance is born the prostitute, the abandoned child, and the worst thieves of all, the bad politician, corrupted and flunky of the national and multinational companies.”

Spinoff: If you had to

I honestly don't see Sanders beating Hilary, I know many people have their issues with her but when faced with the option of Sanders or Hilary I think most democrats would admit she would do a better job running the country.

I am not a Hillary fan at all, like AT ALL, but I agree.
If it was Sanders or her, I'd pick her

Sanders in a heartbeat. I've followed him for several years and have always been impressed by him. I think he's a breath of fresh air who isn't an arrogant prick.

Whenever Sanders speaks, I don't hear him instead I hear Larry David's voice.

While I'm not sure if I am brave enough to vote for him, I do think that Washington needs a shake up and I'm not sure Hillary's ideas can shake things up but I think Sanders' ideas would.

That being said, I'm voting for Hillary because I do think we need a woman president in light of what I view to be infringements upon women's rights by conservatives in this country.

I find it interesting that a lot of people I know who's main reason for not voting for McCain in 08 was due to his age, but now these same people say they will vote for Sanders

I hear this a lot.

Could you (if you wish) explain what or who you'd like to see? (You don't have to share - not looking to debate. Just curious because I hear this a lot)

I have always been a Democrat but in 2000 I really liked John McCain and I would have voted for him over Al Gore. In 2008 it would have been a tougher choice because I liked Obama, but choosing Sarah Palin as his running mate was a fatal error IMO. I think that was a bigger turn off than his age.

Re: Spinoff: If you had to

It would definitely be Trump. There is no way I would ever vote for Sanders and I am registered Democrat. He wants to raise taxes and provide free healthcare and education. ALl nice ideas but I don't think he can really pay for it. It kind of works in Germany but that country is so small and do we want to be taxed to death?

I would take Trump for 4 years if he could financially benefit this country and not screw us more in taxes.

I would happily pay more in taxes than have trump be the leader of this country and believe me, I do not have the money. It would be a sacrifice I would be more than willing to make.
