Is anybody following the story about Manhasset dr, mom of 3 who died?
Yea I've been following it today. It's like she lived a double life. Beautiful mother and professional MD by day, and a girl who liked to sneak around and party hardcore with seedy men by night . Very sad.

I mean, I have no clue what went on - only what I'm reading like everyone else but who knows the history. Sounds like she had a serious drug problem if she was doing drugs to that level, and from what reports are saying, pretty frequently. I mean, to me, that is very tragic. Addiction is a very scary and serious thing.
Those poor children - the family, everything. She had everything going for her - so smart and successful. Graduated with top honors. What a shame.

Yes! What a sad story! Seems like she had everything...sad she risked it by using drugs and lost her life. I wonder if her husband had any idea.

I'm wondering about the husband too. As a married mother, I wouldn't be going out in the city at all hours of the night. Dinner with a bunch of girlfriends, sure. But clubbing or whatever. And doing drugs with shady people. She had three young children!
This all sounds like an episode of dateline living a double life. How tragic

Is anybody following the story about Manhasset dr, mom of 3 who died?
Does anyone have a link to an article about this story ? I live in Manhasset and belong to the same Mother's Group as (I think) this woman-- I have been hearing buzz about a mother who died and respecting the families privacy etc etc but other than her name, I have no idea what happened,I never caught what the underlying story was!

Plenty of people party hard when they get the opportunity to be away from their kids for a night. It sounds to me like she went out with her friends and she took her partying a step too far. Or,rather, several steps too far. It happens all the time but it's not sensationalized. How many OD cases do you think the ME sees each year? This case is making headlines only because she's a respected physician and you wouldn't expect a married doctor mom to be out partying. But just because she's a mom/doctor/wife doesn't mean she can't have a social life. Unfortunately, now her 3 kids are motherless. Very sad.

We also see the husband and feel terrible.
I also would not be so quick to believe what the quoted news media sources say.

And then by night, without her husband she is in the city at all hours at a drug dealers apartment. This is way more than going out with friended having one too many drinks. People in that apartment building said she had been a fixture there over the last year...at the drug dealers apartment.
To me, that is two different worlds

Also it's being reported that her underwear was in her pocketbook. And she was referred to as the one guys "girlfriend".

It definitely seems like a double life which is so so sad. She had everything now her DH has to raise those kids alone and those 3 kids have no mom plus her reputation is tarnished over her bad choices. So so sad. She threw everything away for a night of partying and drugs.

What she did was way more than a social life. The dealer was in jail twice for a few years. According to news reports, she was a fixture at his apartment building for the past year. She was with two men. Her underwear were in her purse.
So by day she is living in a million dollar home, is a physician and a teacher, runner, mom to three young children, and married. Her "friends " were ok covering her drug and infidelity. She was living a double life. There is a big difference between going out with the girls for a glass of wine and having a coke habit and a supposedly boyfriend dealer.

I agree. I happen to know quite a few people who party hard, but have great jobs by day. They're not living a double life. It's just that their professional lives and social lives are very different from one another.

How sad for her children...that their mother cared more about having a social life at night then being home with them. Selfish on so many levels.
This is MORE than just a one night out with friends deal, she was seen in and out of the building for over a year and known as the drug dealers girlfriend.
I will never understand people who feel the need to continue their 'twenties' after they have gotten married and have kids. Once in awhile, yes, everyone needs a break, but on weekly basis several nights a week? C'mon your priorities are NOT in check.
