Twice.com - Online consignment; sell your clothes!

So my cousin turned me onto this site... you can sell all of your unwanted (but in good condition) clothes to them. They will provide you with a free sell kit (it's basically a postage paid shipping bag) and you just fill it and drop it off at the post office. They will acess what you sent and then send you an offer (cash, PayPal or a credit to the site). Anything that you sent that they reject they will donate.

I just wanted to give a head's up because we all have tons of sh!t hanging in our closets that we never wear anymore but don't want to just throw out. They don't accept clothes from stores like Old Navy or Target... it's a lot of Banana Republic, LOFT, Ann Taylor, JCrew, Gap...

Check it out... liketwice.com/nqAQe

Wait. So I send them clothes. They go through it and send me a check for what they will resell and what the don't they donate? Why wouldn't they send it back? How do you know they aren't actually selling it?

Have you used them before? Do you get a decent amount for the clothes?

So they don't pay you only if your clothes sell. They pay you for the clothes that they choose to re-sell.

I don't know why they don't send the clothes back or if they give you that option but having them donate the clothes I sent that they don't want helps me out because if they sent them back to me I would just donate them anyway.

The first time I sold to them I got about $70... That was for about 5 pairs of shoes and few items of clothing. The second time I sold was mostly sweaters and blouses and I got about $30.

Definitely interesting - doesn't seem like they really pay very much for the items they buy from you, but I guess it's better than having them just sitting in the closet forever.

But, I don't see anywhere that says the clothes they don't pay you for are actaully donated - I only see that it says they are "recycled" -whatever that means

I guess if you are going to donate it all anyway, why not make a few extra bucks. I wouldn't send if I was on the fence. I would only send if I was definitely going to just get rid of it.

Very Cool!

For all the clothes between DH and I that I have given to GoodWill; just imagining how much money I could have made if I went thru this site instead.

Time to raid the closets this weekend! Chat Icon

I've sent clothes in, and got barely any $$. I wouldn't have minded but some of the things were brand new with tags.

Im always wary of these things because you get so little for sending them so much.
Ive looked at some consignment shops as well and those are horrible. It has to be name brand and its the price they put on it and then you only get like 60% of what it sells for. 1 place only offered 40%. It was ridic.
I just sell it myself on ebay.

When I saw what they offer for CL shoes, I knew it was bad.
You can sell used CL's on the FB sites for like 10 times what they pay you
