considering i am Israeli...i will always be pro-Israel.
I don't agree with how they are retaliating, but looking at the big picture i will always support them.

Still support Israel?
This is a very sensitive subject for a lot of people.
Yes I support Israel, now and always. No my opinion has not changed. This all started with the murder of 3 innocent Israeli teens, so they are responding to that. This wasn't unprovoked.

More so now.
I want to clear up what is going on in Israel and Gaza so we understand clearly.
Before people start jumping on this with "well, it wouldn't have to happen if Israel hadn't ..." please remember that
1. Hamas deliberately targets Israeli civilians;
2. Hamas locates its arms and militants within the civilian populations, using civilians as body armor;,
3. I have yet to see any Hamas initiative to take care of Israelis that they have wounded with their non-stop barrage of rockets deliberately aimed at civilians.
4. Hamas DELIBERATLY and SPECIFICALLY targets the civilian population to kill as many Jews as they POSSABLY can.
5....so much so the Israelis had to come up with protection. They call It "the Iron Dome". This is an anti missile defense that can intercept the rockets aimed at Israel.
6. When Israel strikes they call homes, the drop leaflets, they make sure the populace knows to get out because they don't want to kill civilians.
7. Hamas is MUCH more interested in killing the Jews then they are of taking care of their own peoples.
And lets talk about what brought about this latest round:
~The Palestinians kidnap 3 Israeli teenagers and kill them.
~Some Israelis decided to take the law into their own hands and kill a Palestinian boy. I will call this the most disgusting and brutal even of the whole "current" incident. It sicken me and I hope the people who Were CAUGHT GET THE FULL treatment under law that will be allowed.
~Hamas starts to send rockets into Israel. Hamas targets anyone and anything they can, specifically civilians.
~Israel reacts. They attack specific sites in Gaza. Warning the populace BEFORE they strike. Hamas tell s the people "no, don't go."
~The UN brokers a 6 hour ceasefire for humanitarian reasons. Israel says "great" all we want is for Hamas to stop firing rockets into Israel.
~Hamas starts shelling 2 hours into the Cease Fire.
~Israel attacks to defend itself.
~The Red cross asks for a 2 hour cease fire for humanitarian aid to Gaza.
~Israel says yes. Guess who Didn't stop?
AND. Israel is on the ground tending to Gaza casualties.
All this killing is terrible. However Israel has a right to defend itself against a terrorist organization that is attacking the population. I do not blame Israel and support them even more.

When the U.S. was attacked by terrorists on September 11th, nobody argued this nation's right to protect itself and its citizens. Thousands, THOUSANDS, of rockets have been fired at Israel in the past few weeks. Three Israeli boys, CHILDREN, were kidnapped and murdered. And Israel should do what? Nothing?
The deaths of innocent people are always tragic. Always. But Israel sends leaflets and warns Gazans to evacuate. Hamas hides their rockets IN CIVILIAN HOMES. And in SCHOOLS. This will only end when Hamas loves their own people more than they hate Jews.

my father is from Israel and moved here as a child. his parents were holocaust survivors from poland and fled to Israel after they were rescued.
but on this topic...Israel is forever defending herself. they never attack first. they don't want to harm people, but they will not stand there and be attacked. we will never let the holocaust happen again and Israel has the army skilled to defend.
do i agree about killing innocent people and children...no. but do i think israel has a right to defend their people? abso-f*cken-lutely

I am and will always support Israel. How would you feel if Canada or Mexico decided not to like the US anymore and decided to shoot rockets at our cities? Then they said, oh we are going to hide our bombs in UN chartered schools so when you hit them, you can kill kids? Cause that is exactly what is happening now.
When the Israeli's left Gaza, it had roads, buildings, schools, and an infrastructure. Instead of using the money that the Palestinians receive to better their infrastructure, they spend the money on rockets, and guns. They use intimidation, threats, and prey on the fears of innocent people who I am sure want to live in peace as well. The people in power are not doing things to help their citizens. I really wish that they were. I also wish that Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Libya would have allowed the Palestinians to assimilate into their cultures, given them property rights and treated their fellow brothers as equals. But that did not, and is not happening either.
I really wish I had an answer to the problems so that everyone would come to an agreement to treat each other with respect and dignity, that recognizes all past wrongs so everyone can move forward into a productive and peaceful existence.

Hammas does not want peace now or ever they want ALL Jews and Israelis dead. They have said that time and time again.
I agree no one should ever tell Israel how to protect herself but other countries to it all the time including the US
Israel is a TINY country and must defend herself daily...
We thought 911 was bad and unthinkable but she and those that live ther live attacks it all the time

The admin of LIF are monitoring this thread closely. As long as things stay civil, it will remain online. If things get ugly, it will be removed.

In other languages, besides English, places and objects have genders. Hebrew, French, Italian, etc
Even in English, certain things have genders- like ships are always female.
