8 month old feeding schedule- introducing meat

Hi everyone! My Ped said that I can introduce meat to my DD at 8 months (which she just turned yesterday). I'm jut confused about the rest of the day now. This is her current feeding schedule:

8am- cereal and fruit

9am- bottle

12noon- yogurt

1pm- bottle

5pm- cereal and veggies

6pm- bottle

9pm- bottle

So when I start meat, I assume I will add it to dinner, do I still give her the veggie and/or cereal at dinner? If not, do I give it at a different time of day?
Also, the Gerber meats are mostly mixed with a carb and veggie, like chicken noodle with vegetable.. But I still give a jar of veggies as well right? I can't imagine that little amount of veggie in there being enough?
Thanks!!!

I plan on starting DS next week (he'll be 8 months then) and plan to just add the meat to whatever he's already eating. So if he has cereal and veggies I'll just add a serving of meat. Probably that's what I figured I would do. If doesn't eat all of it I'll know how much of a serving size to offer.

Don't overthink this......It is just like havign a meal that any person would eat. You can add it to brreakfast lunch or dinner....doesn't matter and they don't know wthe difference.

I would do meat and a veggie or fruit (again jsut what I did not a rule).

You can drop cereal compeltely if you want or just do it at breakfast. There are no rules....as long as they are eating then its fine.

I dropped the cereal by then. Her grain was pretty much oatmeal in the morning.

Yes, the full jar is fine. Have you started eggs yet? You can do that for breakfast with fruit so she's getting protein.

I just did chicken noodle or chicken apple for dinner. I added cereal to thicken even if there was already a carb in there. Sometimes Id add some green beans but Id mix it all in b/c it was easier.

DD was never that big on meats (still isn't) so I would give her a few things to get in as much as possible. She liked jarred meats better than homemade so I would give the earth's best mixes along with veggies, oatmeal, and sometimes some finger foods.
