Had first Appt with RE

I just thought I would give a little update

Went to RE last night (I posted last week that my FSH results came in at a 26, gyn referred to an RE). She said that we is not diagnosing me with POF until we do another CD3 FSH. In the meantime I am getting AMH, genetic bloodwork and some other testing. She thought that the fact that I was getting positive OPK's and confirming ovulation with temping was a good sign. She did a sono last night since I was day 12 and I ovulate late, it was good timing to try and track me. We saw 5 or 6 follicles, I go back Thurs for another sono to see if they are maturing. If things look good she said we can actually do an iui this cycle. Next cycle she would try Clomid... but we will see where the test results take us. She didn't want me to start stressing over donor eggs, but also didn't want to get my hopes up.

also:
HSG - tubes were clear
SA - Dh is all good

Any thoughts? You girls all know so much more about this that I do!

if you are like me. ( and our fsh is lol) i would do the cycle but not with clomid. just bc if time is running out compared to someone with much lower fsh...for many women clomid thins out the lining and makes implantation difficult. and we want the best chances we can get in our situation.

you may want to ask about a different med but thats bt you and your doc.
also i would ask for progesterone supplementation after iui. it cant hurt and can only help.

and i was never given the dx of pof either bc some fshs were in the reg range. but according to docs bc i continuied to be a crap responder it showed that even the one or two high fsh's showed i was a diminished ovarian responder...so i i used dor as my dx due to fsh.

meaning one girl could use 100 mgs of a drug and get 20 eggs i would need 400 to get 2.

the med game is a big trial and error.

also my re gave me lots and lots of supplements to take...some were green plant foods, melatonin, etc that show to support egg quality/hormones.
