DH's best friend's daughter turns one soon and they are having a birthday/baptism combo celebration. we want to give 2 gifts, probably $$ for the baptism and a "gift" gift for the birthday.
i need some ideas in the $50 range - something smallish as they have to take it back overseas...thanks!
You could finish knitting the blanket you started for her

my plan is to take the yarn and make a sweater/hat combo for DD, there is just no way i'll complete the blanket

If you're looking for something that would be easy for them to travel with, what about a piece of jewelry- maybe a croos or initial necklace.
