Going to check out the areas of Illinois this weekend....
anyone know anything on the Rockford areas in IL
or anywhere else that is nice??

I had a friend that lived in Buffalo Grove....a suburb of Chicago and it was BEAUTIFUL there!! a GREAT place to raise a family!
Not sure how far it is from where you are looking.

I grew up in Lincolnshire, my brother lives in El Grove Village, my aunt lives in Barrington (my mom grew up there)--they are all nice areas.

yes it is!! That is Pesto!! He is really cute until he hides under the bed and jumps out at me inthe middle of the night when I get up to go to the bathroom!!  Crazy cat!!

I live in Chicago but don't know the suburbs that well. I've been to Barrington once to visit a friend's parents and their house was very nice. I've also been to Highland Park which is nice. Do you want to be able to commute quickly to the city?

I just got back from IL
My husband and I really liked it there
especially the new homes in Rockford,Roscoe
and the new homes in the Central Park Development in Belvadere.
