Music at bedtime Anyone use a lullably CD or any music to help soothe baby to sleep? Does it actually work? I guess I'm getting a little desperate - looking for anything to help us here

Re: Music at bedtime I have from the beginning... in the beginning it never really helped other than to relax ME But, now, everytime I want to put her to bed, I turn down the lights and nurse her to the same lullaby CD. I think she's now FINALLY starting to realize that means bedtime!

Re: Music at bedtime Like Beth, I find that the lullaby music really helps ME to stay calm. Not sure whether or not she notices the music, but having a slightly less tense mommy helps. I love On a Starry Night if you are looking for a music recommendation. Its sooo beautiful.

That's so funny! That's the same CD I play every night! I LOOOOVE it... I never get sick of it, and everytime I turn it on and the first song plays it reminds me of the first few weeks I was with Alex

Re: Music at bedtime It did for me. I still use the CD for my youngest child. I also played the same CD while they were all in utero. I def recommend it. Once my kids hear it, they know it is bedtime!

Re: Music at bedtime I've used Baby Einstein Lullaby Classics & Bedtime with the Beatles. Jared seems to like both of those too.

Re: Music at bedtime My sister used the same music every night putting my niece to sleep (the music box that came attached to her bassinet). Well, my niece is now 2 & 1/2, and she still knows that when the music goes on, it's time for bed. I think it's a good part of the bedtime routine. I'm definately going to do it with my baby. I already had DH buy a slim CD player/radio to put in the baby's room.
