Fire island question
We are supposed to go there over the weekend- I knpw it is the off season and there is not much going on.
Does anyone know what happens if there is an emergency? How do you get off if it is the middle of the night and you need a hospital or something?

Cars are allowed back on after Labor Day, so in case of emergency I'm sure there's some type of car or rescue vehicle (or water taxi like Marcie mentioned) available to get you off the island. Worst case scenario I've seen an air lift rescue off of the beach. Enjoy your weekend!
