 thanks to Tylenol 101.9

thank goodness his fever is breaking.

James was in the hospital because along with the fever came vomiting and diareah...I couldn't keep fluids in him...and rather than wait for an emergency I called his Ped and told him that I was taking James to Stony Brook...because I was afraid that he was becoming dehydrated, and I knew if I waited too long they wouldn't be able to get a vein to get fluids back into him...so off the ER we went. His blood work came back showing that he was more dehydrated than he physically appeared to be...so he was admitted. He is fine now...but he needed the IV Fluids.

hopefully Jeremy doesn't get the vomitting and diareah part of the Virus...there were so many young children in the hospital for the very same reason.

I hate to tell you...but the yellow loose poop is how James started with the Diareah.
But Jeremy should be fine as long as he keeps drinking....I couldn't keep fluids in James because he was also vomitting.

The pulling of the ear could be a sign of an Ear Infection...make sure that you sit him upright as much as possible...and use a pillow under his head when he sleeps...this will keep fluid out of his ears...and hopefully avoid an ear infection.

I hope Jeremy feel better soon.

 P.S.
you gonna needs lots of hugs for yourself...because it will take a lot out of you caring for him right now.

I really dont want to hear that that is how it started!! I have my first Tastefully Simple party tomorrow night and a wedding to go to on Saturday
AND I dont want Emma to get it!
I am taking him to his ped in 15 minutes. I want him checked for an ear infection and hopefully stop it before it starts!!

His temp is back to normal!! Im shocked. Im hoping it is just an ear infection and nothing more!!!

I hope so too...and the loose poop might just be a sign of teething.

 best of luck

 | Re: Jeremy has a 103.2 fever... my sister's baby just had this & had to go to the ER for fluids. Bloodwork showed he was dehydrated. It is called ROTAVIRUS.
The ER doctor said it is going around like mad.
Keep him away from crowds of people, that is where they say they get it.
It lasts 3-10 days. Stock up on Pedialyte.

 | Re: Jeremy has a 103.2 fever... Bella had a 103.9 temp two weeks ago with her ear infection...the doc said they are more worried when they act lethargic and/or fussier (even when they have a low grade fever)
She had a fever for about 2 and a half days before it broke...we used Motrin, which seemed to work better/longer than Tylenol...

 HOPE HE FEELS BETTER...
