Doctor's Office Freaked me Out Today
Today I received a call from Peyton's Day Care saying that she had a temperature of 101.5 (arm pit reading). So I call the doctor's office and the nurse says to me....you must get a rectal reading and if it is still that high, you'll have to bring her in and probably have to bring her to the ER. I started crying right then and there. I always heard that it's really not a high temp for a baby unless it's over 103. So I call my husband, just in case we do have to go to the hospital. I felt like such a freak in the doctor's office because you could tell I was upset - the nurse apoligized because I think she realized that she probably didn't use the best judgement in scaring me like that. Turns out Peyton's temperature dropped to 99.5. She's still not eating the greatest, I think it's her teeth. But I was so upset how the nurse freaked me out.

I would have freaked out too. I'm glad to hear her temperature went down.

I think afterwards the nurse knew she messed up. My husband was like why would she do that. Thank God she's fine.
