Shorty:
Please tell Rich thanks for listening.
Well, Mother Nature tried but she couldn’t stamp out Daily News Mets beat writer Adam Rubin’s in-studio appearance on our commercial-free, no one makes a dime from it, Long Island Sports Talk radio show last night. A direct lightning hit to our antenna put us out from 9PM to 9:30PM, so instead of 2 hours of all Mets talk, you have 90 minutes of all Mets talk.
Here is the link to the interview: http://hosted.filefront.com/patchyfogg
Here is the nice plug that Adam did for us on his Blog yesterday: http://blogs.nydailynews.com/mets/

The interview is divided into 2 parts. Part 1 is 46+ commercial-free minutes, and Part 2 is 42+ commercial-free minutes.
  Part 1
--a discussion of Adam’s Blog and being on the Devil Rays’ All Kazmir, All the time mailing list --a discussion of Adam’s new book Pedro, Carlos and Omar --Playoffs prospects looking good --Jason Schmidt in a trade? --Lastings Milledge --Xavier Nady’s appendectomy --Milledge’s rep --Jose Valentin --Kaz Matsui --Jose Reyes --Aaron Heilman --Philip Humber --Henry Owens --Mike Pelfrey --Pedro Martinez --Tom Glavine’s resurgence --The competition among beat writers, SNY folk, etc. --The flack that Adam got for writing about Milledge and his spiking of Jonathan Schuerholz (he told us that Bob Raissman would be writing about this today) --Kid gloves for Willie? --Art Howe --Dontrelle Willis --Mike Jacobs, not Jewish --Glavine’s contract --Barry Zito --Cliff Floyd --David Wright’s friends on the team --A discussion of how close the clubhouse is and how it is the most diverse in baseball --David Wright’s relationship with Adam --Carlos Delgado --Delgado’s book on pitchers --Carlos Beltran
  Part 2
--Paul LoDuca --Alay Soler --El Duque --Jose Lima --Brian Bannister --Kris Benson --Jorge Julio --Willie & Trachsel --Rick Peterson coming back? --Duaner Sanchez --Enter Sandman --Billy Wagner --Barry Bonds & Wagner & LoDuca & Wright --Bonds vs. The Mets --Jorge Julio picking up a save for the Diamondbacks --More on Heilman --Heath Bell --A discussion of how some feel that Mets prospects have to go somewhere else in order to succeed (Some past and present prospects named are Bob Keppel, Jason Scobie, Evan MacLane, and Neal Musser) --Many of the Mets #1’s have been no-brainers for a NY team, (i.e., character issues, signability, Boras) but beyond that not much --Huge gap (in years) between Milledge/Humber and the next wave of talent --Pedro Beato --Jonathan Niese also born on 10/27/86 like Beato --Omar wanted to pay Beato the money, someone holding the purse strings didn’t --Another wave of 16-year-old’s will be signed soon --Fernando Martinez --Deolis Guerra --Yusmeiro Petit --More on Glavine and his contract --The Mets’ budget/payroll --Daily News Live --Julio Franco --The coaching staff --Adam is 5 years away from casting his first HOF ballot --Mike Piazza --LoDuca and Wright very close --LoDuca and horse racing --LoDuca in the 2 spot --Another paper reporting Pedro walking around naked in the clubhouse
As always, thanks for listening. And, please pass the link along to other Mets fans that you know.
